An ordained rabbi with a doctorate from Princeton, Bob Alper served congregations for over 14 years before pursuing a career in comedy. Since his break out on the entertainment scene, Alper has performed over 200 shows across the country, impressing audiences with his fast-paced tempo and impeccable timing. Alper has played in some of North America’s most respected comedic venues, including the Montreal Comedy Festival, the Chautauqua Institution in New York, and the Hollywood’s Comedy and Improv Store. Featured on “The Today Show,” “Good Morning America,” and CNN, Bob Alper is also the author of three books, including “A Rabbi Confesses” and his latest release, “Thanks, I Needed That.” Known for his smart and sophisticated routine, Rabbi Bob Alper has become a favorite in universities, performing arts centers, and comedy clubs across the country. First gaining international recognition for his 1973 comedy tour with Englebert Humperdinck, Dick Capri has continued to perform sold-out shows every year, keeping audiences laughing with his signature comedic style.
