Starring Broadway veterans Diane Ketchie, Raymond Saar, Joan Ryan, and Scott Harlan, Broadway SHOWSTOPPERS! explores some of Broadway’s largest productions and brightest stars. From the creators of A Gershwin Celebration and Hooray for Hollywood comes Broadway SHOWSTOPPERS!, an evening of magical Broadway classics from Andrew Lloyd Webber to Rodgers and Hammerstein.
Conceived and directed by Raymond Saar, Broadway SHOWSTOPPERS! is the latest production in the Best of Broadway series. Previous Best of Broadway productions include The Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Hooray for Hollywood. Saar’s celebration of Broadway’s most memorable musicals is performed by an all-star cast, including Saar himself, who starred as Raoul in the San Francisco production of Phantom of the Opera. Saar also played Marius in the Broadway production of Les Miserables, later featured as one of the soloists on the international cast album. On television, Saar has appeared on General Hospital, Good Morning America, and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
Broadway SHOWSTOPPERS! star Diane Ketchie made her Broadway debut in Phantom of the Opera. An accomplished concert pianist as well as a singer, Ketchie showcased her talents in the off-Broadway production of Orpheus in Love at the Circle Repertory Theatre. Joan Ryan is no novice in the theatre industry either, having starred in the original Los Angeles production of Ruthless! and recently named the Top Female Cabaret Artist of 2013 by Broadway World. In addition to her extensive Broadway experience, Ryan is beloved by television audiences around the world for her roles in such shows as Saved by the Bell and The Young and the Restless. Famous for his roles in major motion pictures such as Risky Business and Power with Richard Gere, Scott Harlan began his career on the Broadway stage, performing in the world premier of From the Top with Carol Burnett. Harlan has also starred in the national company of Rocky Horror Show, as well as in the new musical production, Radio Gals.
