Get ready to take a trip down memory lane this season at The Lyric Theatre when Decades Rewind hits the stage. Featuring all of the greatest hits from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s, Decades Rewind is a live concert experience including an 8-piece rock band and 6 incredible vocalists. This high-energy rock show will have you singing and dancing along, as talented performers cover your favorite artists, from Abba to Led Zeppelin. Including over 60 songs, memorable videos of classic Americana, and over 100 costume changes, Decades Rewind is more than just your average review show.
Co-founded by veteran keyboardist Peter Gatti and long-time drummer Mark Blinkhorn, the exciting show features vocalists Coya Jones, Ashley Renee, J.K. Miller III, Frank J. Edmondson III, and Wade Whiskey, whose diverse yet complimentary styles are beautifully accompanied by the brass and string rock band. The Mystical Arts of Tibet “Sacred Music Sacred Dance”

In the Mystical Arts of Tibet, multiphonic singers from Tibet's famous Drepung Loseling Monastery will perform sacred temple music and enchanting masked dances as part of their multi-national tour for World Healing. Endorsed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and critically acclaimed for their sold out performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, the Mystical Arts of Tibet singers perform a rare style of vocals in which the monks intone three notes of one chord simultaneously.
The Mystical Arts of Tibet is co-produced by Richard Gere Productions and the Drepung Loseling Institue, which is the North American seat of the Drepung Loseling Monastery. The talented vocalists have performed all over the world, including appearing with Paul Simon, Philip Glass, Patti Smith, and the Beastie Boys among others. Two of the monks' recordings have reached the top 10 spot on the New Age charts, and their most recent recording combined the Gethsemani Schola's Gregorian chant singing with the Tibetan multiphonic singing. The Drepung Loseling monks have also been featured on the Golden Globe-nominated sountrack for the film Seven Years in Tibet, starring Brad Pitt, and have performed with Philip Glass at Lincoln Center during Glass' presentation of his award-winning score for Martin Scorcese's film Kundun.
Accompanying the Mystical Arts of Tibet's multiphonic singing are elaborate traditional costumes and associated masked dances, including the Dance of the Sacred Snow Lion. An intensely unique and powerful performance, the Mystical Arts of Tibet's performance has three purposes: to make a contribution to world peace and healing; to generate a greater awareness of the endangered Tibetan civilization; and to raise support for the Tibetan refugee community in India. Celebrate the beautiful tradition of Tibetan multiphonic singing and dance this season at The Lyric Theatre with the Mystical Arts of Tibet “Sacred Music Sacred Dance.”

Who said an old dog can’t learn new tricks? Mutts Gone Nuts is a unique comedy thrill show featuring some of the most talented dogs you’ll ever see. Including dogs on tightwire, high flying Frisbee dogs, and Sammie the Talking Dog, Mutts Gone Nuts stars nine canine acrobats all adopted from animal shelters and rescues. Presented by Scott and Joan Houghton, the canine cabaret show is perfect for the whole family.
Scott and Jane Houghton have been performing as a comedy duo since 1985. Known for their blending of physical comedy and circus artistry, the Houghtons toured the world from Tokyo to Las Vegas. Scott and Jane have performed at Lee Greenwood’s theatre in Tennessee and performed as the featured comedy act at Dolly Parton’s Theatres in Orlando, Myrtle Beach, and Branson. In 2005, the comedy duo discovered the genius of incorporating dogs into their act, and Mutts Gone Nuts was born. The true stars of the show are the Houghton’s amazing pooches, such as Chico, the hoop jumping Chihuahua/Corgi mix, and Fritz, the jump roping American Eskimo. Back after her last round of sold-out performances, Lily Tomlin will perform many of her famous characters and routines from Laugh-In and more this season at The Lyric Theatre. With seven Emmys, two Tonys, and a Grammy, Tomlin has established herself as one of the most influential female comedians of all time. A chameleon on the stage, Lily Tomlin delights audiences with her ability to craft witty and memorable routines that will have you rolling in the aisles.
Born in Detroit, Lily Tomlin initially enrolled at Wayne State University with the intention of studying medicine. After taking elective theater classes, Tomlin discovered her true talent and began performing in coffee houses across the city. The aspiring comedian moved to New York City in 1965, where she began amassing a dedicated fan base, performing at notable clubs including The Improvisation and Café Au Go Go. Lily Tomlin made her television debut in 1966 on the Gary Moore Show, and quickly followed this up with appearances on the famous Merv Griffin Show. The actress skyrocketed into fame after accepting a role on the notorious Laugh-In television series, where she developed such memorable characters as Ernestine, the telephone operator. Lily Tomlin has continued to grow her career, notably appearing on the West Wing as President Bartlett’s assistant, for which she received a Screen Actors Guild nomination. Most recently, Tomlin costarred in the well-received Netflix original series Grace and Frankie which premiered in May 2015.
A veteran of film as well as television, Lily Tomlin debuted in her first feature film in the role of Linnea, a gospel singer and mother of two deaf children in Robert Altman’s 1975 movie Nashville. In addition to this Oscar-nominated performance, Tomlin has appeared in I Heart Huckabees, A Prairie Home Companion, and Grandma, a film that was selected as the closing film at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. For her role in film, Tomlin received the prestigious Crystal Award from Women in Film.
