CHRISTINE ANDREAS - BEWITCHED, BOTHERED and BEWILDERED

Christine Andreas is an award-winning singer, Broadway star, and 2 time Tony Award nominee and most recently completed a year in La Cage aux Folles with Kelsey Grammer, as well as a much acclaimed National tour as Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza. On Broadway, Andreas first captured NYC theatre-goers' hearts and became a star in the 20th anniversary production of My Fair Lady as Eliza Doolittle (Theatre World Award); followed by the revival of Oklahoma! as Laurey, working with Billy Hammerstein & Agnes DeMille, (Tony nomination); and On Your Toes as Frankie Frayne directed by legendary George Abbott, (Tony nomination). She created the role of Marguerite St. Just in The Scarlet Pimpernel and received a Barrymore Award for her portrayal of Vera Simpson in Rogers & Hart's Pal Joey. HERE's TO THE LADIES What happens when you invite the great divas of an earlier Broadway to the stage......? Originally conceived and performed at the Café Carlyle in NYC, Christine Andreas honors Mary Martin, Helen Morgan, Gertrude Lawrence, Ethel Merman, Julie Andrews, Barbara Cook, Angela Lansbury & Barbra Streisand in her musical tribute, "Here's to the Ladies". Interpreting classics from "Funny Girl", "Annie Get Your Gun", "Lady in the Dark", "South Pacific", "Showboat", "She Loves Me"," The King and I" and "Mame" with her thrilling voice and startling grasp of character the golden age of musicals is brought back to vibrant life, whether performed with solo piano or expanded to a 55-piece orchestra with arrangements by six award-winning orchestrators. To quote the great Jerry Herman, "Christine Andreas has accomplished the remarkable feat of making us recall each great star she honors and then, at the same time, making us forget them as we listen to her fresh, new, exciting and often breathtaking interpretations of their songs. Here's to the Ladies...is dazzling!"
