A naturally talented vocalist, Taylor Dayne was recognized as a rising talent early on in her musical career. Shortly after music producing legend Clive Davis signed the pop vocalist in the 1980s, Dayne’s career took off with the release of her first two albums, Tell It to My Heart and Can’t Fight Fate. The albums were critical and popular successes, with the single “Love Will Lead You Back” reaching #1 on the Billboard charts. Throughout her career, Taylor Dayne has had an impressive 18 singles reach the Top Ten charts in Billboard magazine. Dayne toured with a number of major recording artists throughout the ‘80s, notably joining Michael Jackson on the European leg of his sold-out “Bad” tour. The pop and dance vocalist is also a songwriter, having co-written the Tina Turner Top 40 hit “Whatever You Want” in 1996.

After taking a break from the music industry to raise her children, Taylor Dayne returned with a bang with the release of her album Satisfied in 2008. The lead single “Beautiful” from the album reached #1 on international dance charts, marking the 17th time that Dayne would produce a Top 10 single. In addition to her talents as a singer, Taylor Dayne is also an accomplished film and stage actress. She appeared in the 1994 film Love Affair starring Warren Beatty and starred in Elton John’s award-winning Broadway production of the opera Aida. After 30 years, Taylor Dayne is still a dominant force in the music industry, recently chosen by fans of American Idol as the top candidate to replace the former judge Paula Abdul in a Rolling Stones poll. At Dancin’ In The Streets this August, Taylor Dayne will take to The Lyric stage to perform all of her biggest hits from the 1980s and beyond.
