Potted Potter

at The Lyric Theatre Mar 7, 2015 7:00 pm

An uproarious and wacky parody of everyone’s favorite young wizard, Potted Potter takes on the incredible challenge of condensing all seven Harry Potter books into just seven minutes. In the spirit of Monty Python, Potted Potter features quick costume changes, absurd props, and a brilliant score of original songs. It takes a lot of magic to complete the task of “potting” Potter, and stars Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner do it with style.

Originally envisioned by the Olivier Award-nominated actors and former Children’s BBC hosts Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, Potted Potter had its North American debut in Toronto at the Panasonic Theatre. Followings its incredible success in Canada, Potted Potter moved to New York City where it played off-Broadway at The Little Shubert Theater. Now, the show has gone international, with runs in London, Edinburgh, New Zealand, and Australia. In Potted Potter, you’ll taken through the halls of Hogwarts, and you’ll even be invited to participate in a real game of Quidditch!

Perfect for wizard wannabes, Potted Potter is also enjoyable for those unfamiliar with the Harry Potter series. The wacky stunts and comedy numbers are thrilling for audiences of every age and background. Named as one of Time Out’s Critic’s Choice, Potted Potter has been called “blissfully funny” by The Guardian and “utterly delightful” by the Sunday Express.
